End of an Era: Farewell to Kemble Rural Cinema
After nearly two decades of shared stories, laughter, and community spirit, the Village Hall Committee has made the difficult decision to bring Kemble Rural Cinema to a close.
Since its first screening in February 2007 — the charming comedy Confetti — the cinema has been a beloved fixture in our village life. It has brought us together through rain and shine, offering everything from Hollywood blockbusters to hidden gems, all within the cozy walls of our hall.
This November 2025, we will dim the lights one final time with The Penguin Lessons, marking the end of a remarkable journey.
We want to thank everyone who made it possible — the volunteers who set up chairs and served refreshments, the committee members who kept things running, and of course, the loyal audiences who turned up month after month. You made Kemble Rural Cinema a true community treasure.
As we prepare for our final screening, we invite you to join us in celebrating the memories. Let’s make this last showing one to remember.
With heartfelt thanks,
Kemble Village Hall Committee
